General
NCR (No Carbon Required) printing uses specially coated paper to produce instant copies of documents—such as invoices, receipts, and forms—without the need for messy carbon sheets. When pressure is applied by a pen or printer, micro-encapsulated dye on the back of the top sheet reacts with a clay coating on the sheets beneath it, transferring the image. This carbonless technology allows for clean, reliable duplication in multi-part sets, including duplicate and triplicate forms.
